I have deployed a few projects in Heroku, basically during my studies at coding boot camp. I find Heroku very easy to use and works best when the project has a small database. However, with projects of sizable database and compile tools such as webpack, sometimes Heroku failed to deploy. This led me to search for alternative platforms that are equally user-friendly and does not require much learning or the technologies specific to the platform. I was recommended Render and the UI looks simple enough to begin with.
